David E. Smith, Ph.D.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
David is the founder and president of E·A·S·I-Consult®. His career includes over 35 years in the field of assessment and development for management and leadership positions.
After spending a decade inside a Fortune 100 company as the head of Assessment and Selection, he now leads a team of the most experienced talent management psychologists in the U.S. His company provides Human Capital Management consulting to private sector and public sector organizations.
David is sought out by organizations of all sizes for advice and recommendations regarding implementation or improvement of assessment programs. He established EASI•Consult® in 1998 to provide organizations with informed and unbiased advice regarding the selection, development, validation and implementation of assessment tools for Human Capital decisions in organizations.
David holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Colorado State University. He is a member of the Equal Employment Advisory Council’s Ad Hoc Committee on Employment Testing in Washington, D.C. He is also one of the founders of the International Assessment and Selection Council, a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychologists.
David is licensed as a practicing psychologist by Missouri’s State Committee of Psychology. He has authored or co-authored over a dozen research articles and studies in leading professional journals. His work has been reprinted in books on human resources management, both domestically and internationally.
